In this weeks video I show you have to create a small macramé wall hanging using 3 of the knots learned in previous videos.
- Lark’s Head Knot
- Square Knot
- Double Half Hitch Knot (left & right)
Materials
- 8, 3 feet pieces of cord
- Some sort of base to build off of (I used a pencil)
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Fringe brush
Directions:
- Make 3 rows of alternating square knots
- Make 2 square knots with inner cords
- Make 1 square knot with middle cord
- Create a diagonal row of double half hitch knots (left & right) on either sides of the triangle shape
- Finish with a square knot in the middle
- Brush out the ends half way down
Please enjoy this tutorial video I put together 🙂
Hi Lauren!
I really love your post this week! First, I love how you created a really eye-catching graphic to pull the viewers into your post. Secondly, creating lists of the materials/directions is a great way to have a quick reference of things you need and to look back onto in the future if you just needed a quick refresher. Also, I am loving your videos! They are very easy to follow, and I love the little special effects you are adding. Beautiful piece, I cannot wait to make one and would love to do a class wall hanging like you said. It would be a beautiful piece to add to a classroom!
